Department of Health

The Department of Health (South Africa) partnership spans many years with the intention of  implementation of HIV youth prevention interventions, including peer educators through Ground Breakers and Mphinthi’s and the live Chat Groups to facilitate dialogues and information sharing among youth.

Department of Sports, Arts & Culture

The Department of Sports, Arts and Culture collaboration with LoveLife is in accordance with the District Development Model (DDM) throughout all the nine provinces. The partnership with the department allows loveLife messaging to be shared at sport and recreation events, thereby allowing loveLife access to a large audience of young people due to the popularity of sport events – but also, it allows for sport to play an important role in social change and youth leadership development.

loveLife launched a new YCenter in the Northern Cape, a project  funded by ACWA Power Solafrica Bokpoort Concentrated Solar Plant based outside Groblershoop. The! Kheis Local Municipality donated land to loveLife for the construction of the Y Centre. The construct of the Y Centre is part of a long term Social Economic Development Strategy by ACWA Power Solafrica Bokpoort CSP as part of their CSI to address specific social economic challenges in the community of !Kheis.

Kumba Iron Ore - Sishen Mine

Anglo-American’s three global pillars of Thriving Communities, Trusted Corporate Leader and Healthy Environment – have been the main thrust in partnering with loveLife in various initiatives ranging from youth centres, recreational parks, cultural and learning centers. In tandem, their generosity has enhanced and accelerated the provision of comprehensive HIV/Aids services in government clinics in partnership with loveLife.

Kurisani Youth Development Trust continued partnership to build and sustain the Bochum community together with local youth and a number of key stakeholders, including the Mayor of Blouberg Municipality, officially launched the Love Life Youth Services Centre.

Volkswagen

(South Africa)

Volkswagen Group South Africa (VWSA) continues to be a valued partener funder of the loveLife Youth Centre in KwaNobuhle, Uitenhage was unveiled on Friday, 30 November 2012.The KwaNobuhle loveLife Y-Centre opening coincided with World Aids Day on 1 December. The aim of the centre is to give the young people of KwaNobuhle and the greater Uitenhage area a safe haven where they can play sport and interact with their peers and adults, thereby developing long term supportive relationships.
